When the Nuclear Power Plant causes Homer to become sterile, he's awarded $2,000 in compensation. Meanwhile, Homer's half-brother, Herb (Danny DeVito), now homeless, returns.

Milhouse falls in love with the new girl, Samantha Stankey, making Bart jealous. Meanwhile, Homer orders subliminal weight loss audio tapes, but is sent one to help him increase his vocabulary.

"The Otto Show"

When Otto crashes the school bus, it's revealed he's never actually had a driver's license, getting him fired. Otto comes to stay with the Simpsons.

"Black Widower"

Selma reveals she has a new boyfriend from the prison pen pal system... Sideshow Bob! Although Bart suspects he's still evil, Bob proves to everyone else he's changed.

"Colonel Homer"

When Homer and Marge fight, Homer heads to a local redneck bar where he meets a beautiful bartender, Lurleen Lumpkin (Beverly D'Angelo), who he begins to manage into a successful singing career.

"Dog of Death"

When Santa's Little Helper falls ill and needs an expensive operation, the whole family makes budget cuts. The family ends up resenting a saved Helper, causing him to run away.

"Separate Vocations"

When a school vocational test reveals Bart should be a police officer and Lisa a homemaker, Bart's grades improve and he's named hall monitor while Lisa becomes a troublemaker.

"Homer at the Bat"

When the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant softball team proves to be pretty decent with Homer as the star player, Homer makes a bet with the Shelbyville Nuclear Power Plant owner.

"Bart the Lover"

Mrs. Krabappel sentence Bart to a month of detention and he seeks revenge by responding to a personal ad of hers using phony love letters.

"Homer Alone"

The family's dependence on Marge sends her stressed self to a spa for a break. Homer, meanwhile, has to take care of Maggie while Bart and Lisa spend time with Patty and Selma.

"Lisa the Greek"

When Homer learns that Lisa is able to pick the winning football teams, he begins to bond with her over sports.

"Radio Bart"

When Bart's birthday party turns into a disaster, he uses his AM radio gift to play pranks on the townspeople. Eventually he uses it to pretend to be a boy stuck in a well, and the whole town comes to his aid.

"I Married Marge"

Worrying she might again be pregnant, Marge heads to Dr. Hibbert's for a pregnancy test. While awaiting results, Homer tells the children the story of how Marge and he got a quickie marriage.

When German businessmen plan to buy the Nuclear Powerplant, all the employees stand to make a lot of money for their stock options. Well everyone, except Homer, who already sold his.

"Flaming Moe's"

When Homer teaches Moe a secret drink he made that involves cough syrup and lighting it on fire, the "Flaming Homer," Moe steals the recipe for his bar.

"Saturdays of Thunder"

After taking a parenting quiz, Homer realizes he knows nothing about Bart. He tries to bond with his son by building him a cart for the Soapbox Derby.

"Lisa's Pony"

When Lisa needs a reed for her saxophone for a recital, Homer forgets to buy her one in time. He feels so guilty he buys her the one thing she's always wanted, a pony.

"Treehouse of Horror II"

Homer, Bart and Lisa eat a ton of candy causing each of them to have their own respective nightmares.

"Like Father, Like Clown"

When Krusty comes to the Simpsons' house for dinner, he reveals he's Jewish and his father disowned him for becoming a clown and not pursuing a career as a rabbi.

"Homer Defined"

When Homer accidentally saves the town from the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, he's heralded as a hero. Meanwhile, Luann forbids Milhouse from hanging out with Bart.

"Bart the Murderer"

After a terrible day at school, Bart finds himself getting a job at Fat Tony's "Legitimate Businessman's Social Club" as a bartender and Skinner mysteriously goes missing.

"When Flanders Failed"

Homer wishes Ned Flanders to fail and soon his store, the Leftorium, which caters to left-handed people fails. Meanwhile, Bart signs up for martial arts lessons from Akira.

"Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington"

Lisa enters a Reading Digest competition and is set to Washington for the finals. While there, she sees a corrupt government official taking a bribe.

"Stark Raving Dad"

Everyone at the powerplant thinks Homer is crazy when he shows up in a pink shirt and want to give him a mental health exam. He has Bart take it for him and ends up in a looney bin with Michael Jackson.
