The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced today - and we think there were shows and actors who were overlooked.
However, there are only so many spots on the nominations list.
So, who should have been included and who gets toppled off the list to make room? Part of our logic is this – spread the love. While they did a pretty good job of it this year, if any one show got too many nominations, well...
Find out what happens with our Emmy Snub list below!
1.
Empire
Empire came in and took audiences, ratings and good drama by storm. Game of Thrones really struggled out of the gate. Only one can get a spot on the ballot.
2.
The Good Wife
The Good Wife went into unchartered territory this year and continued its winning streak. We saw more of the same out of Downton.
3.
Jane the Virgin
For the first time, The CW had a chance to get on the board with Jane the Virgin, a funny, smart comedy. We're giving it to them over Modern Family which hasn't shown a lot of growth over the years.
4.
Sam Hueghan
Sam Hueghan had some of the most difficult scenes to pull off in Outlander, and while we love Kyle Chandler, note for note, new series for new series, Hueghan has Chandler beat.
5.
Matthew Rhys
Another year, another snub for The Americans. While everyone deserves to be on the list, Matthew Rhys over Jeff Daniels for The Newsroom is the easiest of them all.
6.
Ruth Wilson
Ruth Wilson got a Golden Globe for her mesmerizing performance as the confused and love struck adulterer on The Affair, but no love here. Robin Wright was wonderful, as well, but House of Cards has other noms.
7.
Walter Goggins
Justified had an amazing final season and Walter Groggins' Boyd Crowder was an integral part of it. We think Jim Carter's Mr. Carson is delightful on Downton Abbey, but no match for Groggin's Boyd.
8.
Max Greenfield
Max Greenfield is over the top and hilarious, a truly funny man who is the heart of New Girl. We'll take his comedic tone over that of Adam Driver on Girls, please.
9.
Ellie Kemper
Ellie Kemper made quite an impression with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and it's her time. Lisa Kudrow has already had her Comeback.
10.
January Jones
Yes, this was the year of Mad Men. January Jones brought life to Betty Draper that we never knew she had. She's toppling Joanna Froggett of Downton off the list.
11.
James Nesbitt
James Nesbitt's performance in the Starz series The Missing as a father who lost his son in a crowd and his unending search to find him was heartbreaking and riveting. It's winning out over Mark Rylance in Wolf Hall.
