How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 7 Review: Nobody Roots For Goliath

Nobody should ever rule Annalise Keating out.

On How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 7 she found herself facing the backlash about her class action lawsuit, and she managed to handle it all without turning back to the drink.

Class Action Lawsuit - How to Get Away with Murder

It was difficult to watch Annalise's character being questioned in court while Bonnie continued to try and pull some strings behind the scenes.

The judge did not seem to have time for the multitude of silly claims coming from the opposing faction, and that's likely why everything seemed to go in her favor.

I had to agree with Nate about bringing the mother into the case to lie, but at the same time, Annalise knew the other side was playing dirty.

Denver is Back - How to Get Away with Murder

It was a little out there that she turned to Denver for help. That man was instrumental in why some of How to Get Away with Murder Season 3 felt weak in some places.

He is a power hungry man who will stop at nothing, and I hope Annalise finds a way to take him off his high horse for good before the end of How to Get Away with Murder Season 4

Bonnie helping bring Isaac into the courtroom was a bold, and silly move. I further solidified the fact that Annalise was perfectly capable of pressing on with her case.

Bonnie Has Revenge in Mind - How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 7

Right now, Bonnie is still scorned because Annalise cut her off, and I dare say the sassy remark from Connor about him being the new Bonnie made her (Bonnie) want to take Annalise down even more.

In a sense, Connor is right. He is the new Bonnie, but his relationship with Annalise is much different. Annalise treats Connor far better, and I think it's because she knows how fragile he is.

That's not to say Bonnie was not fragile. She's been ready to hop on the bus to Crazy town multiple times over the last few years.

Connor Meets Laurel - How to Get Away with Murder

But Connor could probably do the most damage if he went public because of everything that they have done over the years.

I was glad we got to see Connor and Oliver back in a good place. It made Connor realize he could become engaged to Oliver because they were apparently not lying to each other.

My heart sank when Oliver confirmed he was working on the mission to find out who killed Wes. That's going to bring it all back for Connor, and there's no question about whether he's going to tell Annalise.

He will, and she will find herself immersed in all of the drama once again. Would she have it any other way?!

This could be the thing that makes Connor realize he needs a clean break. It's like one step forward, and two steps back with this group.

They are all toxic to each other and the sooner they realize that, the better.

Laurel is on the Case - How to Get Away with Murder

It was frustrating that Laurel acted so casual about doing the swab test on Frank. It's like she wanted to make him think she was doing it out of the goodness of her heart.

She realized she was being a crappy person to him after Asher told her to tell him the truth. This whole baby storyline needs to come to a grinding halt soon because it's dragging on for dear life.

If the powers that be want Laurel back together with Frank then put them back together. We don't need all of this convoluted back and forth.

It's tiring, and it detracts from the more appealing storylines. The same can be said for Wes. Waitlist was such an integral character, but dragging this murder mystery out is making me loathe it more than love it.

I don't know what to make of the plan to take down Simon. On the one hand, he is the most annoying character on television.

On the other, this is a man's career. How many lives are these kids going to ruin before they realize they need to get some therapy and move on with their lives?

I like that they are now together to try and find out the truth, but the truth had better come on How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 8.

As much as that final scene would like us to believe that Connor is the one on the operating table, it will likely be Nate. Nate has served little purpose to the plot for years now, and it's surprising he is still strutting around.

It was great that Michaela decided to smear her $20,000 wedding dress with ketchup. Asher really needed her to do that to realize that she was in it with him until the end.

However, he should have spoken to her about his concerns sooner. There's nothing quite like bottling it all up and unleashing it in a fit of rage.

"Nobody Roots for Goliath" was another spectacular episode of this ABC drama. The stage is set for a killer winter finale, and I cannot wait to see the big finish.
