A death row inmate seeks Walter’s help to clear his name just days before his execution. A former cop accused of killing his partner, Eddie had given up on being found innocent, but his religious advisor sought Walter for his extraordinary abilities to find proof that Eddie was innocent.

The twists and turns of the case lead them on a quest to find the bullets that were never recovered from the crime scene, a task which is complicated when Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) comes to town to evaluate Walter’s mental fitness to consult for the federal government.

Meanwhile, Willa makes friends with Luke, a well off party boy who invites her to a beach party. Their relationship goes south when he plays accessory to her prank theft of a car and takes it too far.
