Frankie, who is a close friend of Pride's daughter Laurel, comes to Pride during a city-wide blackout after receiving a very concerning phone call from her fiance, Petty Officer Nick Benton.

Working together, the team soon finds Benton. Unfortunately, he's been murdered. A transient who stole his shoes is able to point them towards the Gargoyle Club. An employee tells them that Benton got into it with a bouncer, Dex, who didn't show up for work that day.

They realize that the murder is connected to the blackout, which is revealed to be sabotage in order to pull off the heist of some very valuable antique furniture, the owner of which recently died, leaving the items to his widow Sheila and grown son, Toby.

However, when the team locates the truck used in the theft, they find Dex's body inside and all the stolen furniture destroyed. But it seems that the furniture was never going to be sold at all. Brody and Percy find a hidden compartment in a desk and discover secret letters to the late owner, revealing that Frankie is actually the man's daughter.

They realize that Toby killed Benton, who had been trying to locate Frankie's biological father, out of fear that Frankie was only after money. After a brief hostage situation, they arrest Toby. Pride later introduces Frankie to Sheila.

Pride: City's been through more than its share. Blackouts, floods, storms. Sometimes it brings out the worst. But then, just when you think you've figured out how it's all gonna go, a stranger brings your cat back to you, three months after the storm, then stays to help fix your busted-up roof. That's New Orleans: doesn't take electricity to light it up.

This case is goin' all kinds of Ocean Eleven now!
