It's Coven Day and Alaric brings Emma back to the school. However, it's under the guise that she's helping. 

Emma later reveals she and Alaric have been doing things with students that have been bad, and we learn Alyssa was sent away to get better. 

Alyssa uses the ascendant to create a new prison world and banishes Alaric and the twins to it, but Hope figures out she's up to something and looks for answers. 

Wade thinks he's a fairy and sets out to find out more about it, and ultimately emerges as the person to take down the new villain. 

Hope teaches Landon defense, but she later tells him that she cannot do it because he's not a hero and the hero never stays alive. That's something he struggles with, telling her he will find someone else. 

Alaric grows closer to Sheriff Mac and tells her he's writing a book, but struggles to tell her the truth. He later asks her out on a date and she tells him to check his jacket pocket. 

Dorian tries to get closer to Emma again, but she tells him she is only back for a small amount of time because she has something to do.
