Rebecca and Josh are ready to present their case against Greater City Water, but a surprise may stand in their way: Audra Levine, Rebecca's New York City nemesis, has been called in as the opposing council, throwing Rebecca off of her game.

When Audra announces that Rebecca's biggest witness in the water trial is actually a schizophrenic, she ultimately ruins the case for Whitefeather law, and the team loses the trial. 

However, Rebecca, despite losing, feels like the real winner when she sees what Audra has become, and decides to continue to fight for the citizens of the Valley anyway. Rebecca knows that it's more important to be happy and give a voice to those who can't speak up for themselves. 

Josh, inspired by Rebecca, realizes how much he cares for her and kisses her as Paula looks on.

Greg, inspired by Heather, realizes that he is in love with Rebecca and heads to the courthouse to confess his feelings, but he is too late, and he instead sees Rebecca kissing Josh. 

Darryl and White Josh clash at first about how to proceed with their new dating status, but after losing the case, Darryl decides that he wants to be out in public dating White Josh, and he doesn't care who knows.
