MOST CONFOUNDING STORYLINE: Enzo wanting to make Sarah Salvatore beg to be a vampire... for some reason. This never really went anywhere and never really stood a chance. Enzo will be shown some more confounding love later on in this report card, so stay tuned! Poor bastard.

SUPRISINGLY GOOD STORYLINE
SUPRISINGLY GOOD STORYLINE: Let's be honest. Who REALLY saw all of the merging between the twins and the intersecting of Kai and Jo let alone their connection to Liv and Luke coming? We said early on the Gemini Coven storyline was a win, and it not only brought one hell of a villain in Kai, but twists and turns that proved the ability to keep unique storytelling alive on TVD wasn't dead. Keep bringing THAT back to life season after season, and we'll be on board for a long time.

WORST EPISODE
WORST EPISODE: The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 20, "I'd Leave My Happy Home for You." A total filler hour that wasted some time on Delena flashbacks and talk about The Cure. OK. There were bachelor and bachelorette parties, we'll give you that. It did make for this awesome GIF, after all!

BEST EPISODE: The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 22, "I'm Thinking of You All the While." Yup, we're going with the finale, mostly due to the creative way Julie Plec and company wrote Elena off. We're also intrigued by the set up for
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 ... what the heck has happened to Mystic Falls?!?
Liv forced her boyfriend to look her in the eyes and strangle her to death in order to unlock his werewolf curse. So... yeah. We're doing with that.
