Law & Order: SVU Season 24 Episode 11 continues the story of Benson's war with the gang who tried to kill her.

After interviewing Albert, the boy with the machete, Benson realizes that he is a victim too -- he is only 15 and BX9 raped his mother and threatened to do it again if he didn't join the gang. Duarte gives her the unwelcome news: there is a "rape tree" in the woods full of underwear taken from BX9's victims. Duarte knew about it for a year but did nothing because he felt focusing on a surveillance op was more important.

Benson decides this is now a rape case. She and Duarte don't agree on how to proceed. He thinks she's too empathetic. She thinks he's too focused on getting the bad guys and refuses to acknowledge that these kids are victims too.

Muncie finds a victim whose brother was killed while in BX9. Maria will not testify but admits privately she was raped and names names. The cops raid a house and catch the rapists, and plan to get them to turn on each other. Sadly, one suspect is killed by BX9 members in prison before he can talk.
