Blue Bloods Season 10 Episode 3 revolves around family problems.

When Frank is chosen to help dedicate the opening of a foundation after a friend's death, he runs into problems because the woman's son is angry and feels his mother was a fraud. Frank meets with the son privately and tries to get him to come to a lunch with the woman's daughters, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, a gang member shoots at Jamie, scaring a rookie officer out of continuing to serve, and Jamie is not happy to learn that Erin's office allowed the suspect to enter a diversion program. Erin and Anthony come up with an idea: use Anthony's brother Leo, who has been gang-free for six months, to catch the suspect and bring the rookie along on the stakeout. But Leo doesn't want to do that because he's afraid he'll be tempted back into bad behavior and disappoint Anthony.

And Danny and Baez investigate the case of a Chinese woman who has disappeared. Her parents presume she is dead and blame themselves because they arranged her marriage to her abusive husband, and their son is a cop who has no relationship with his family because he chose to become a police officer.
