On Beauty and the Beast Season 3 Episode 1, Cat and Vincent are happily together and are doing what normal couples would do -- eat breakfast in the morning and get ready for a day of work. Vincent has been reinstated at the hospital and is nervous about his first day on the job, but Cat assures him things will be OK; though, in the back of her mind, she's waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Cat doesn't have to wait long for something bad to happen. When she gets to work she gets a message from the agents who are wanting to recruit her and Vincent in their mission to take down these new experiments which are taking place throughout New York. Cat is still not convinced and tells them, she'll only bring Vincent in on the case when she has definitive proof that there are monsters out there. 

Cat soon gets all the proof she needs when one of the beast hybrids attacks, not only her, but the agents involved in investigating the case. At the hospital, she is being treated by Vincent and comes clean about everything which, understandably, makes him angry and he leaves. Cat talks to Heather about her fight with Vincent and Heather takes Vincent side and tells Cat, she needs to be honest with him and they need to finish their fight. Meanwhile, JT tells Vincent that he understands where Cat is coming from because they are able to go out there and help people. Back at her apartment, the couple apologizes to each other and Vincent realizes how much he needs Cat in his life and proposes to her which she happily accepts.

Meanwhile, JT is having issues with why he's still alive and has been moping for the past two months about it. Tess finally has enough and lays it all out for him; he needs to accept the fact he was given a second chance and not waste it. She also lets him know she's not going to be there all the time to hold his hand.
