With The Walking Dead Season 9 in the can, fans are looking ahead to the upcoming tenth season of the post-apocalyptic drama.

The show lost Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan early into the ninth season, and Danai Gurira has already been revealed as the show's next big exit and will appear in only a handful of episodes of the upcoming season.

With familiar faces leaving the show in their droves, many have questioned whether Norman Reedus could be the next to go. Reedus has played Daryl Dixon since the show debuted back in 2010.

Losing him would be a massive blow to the series, but it sounds like Reedus is in it for the long haul with the AMC hit.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said that he doesn't "have any plans" to leave the show in the near future.

“I don’t want to go anywhere. I’ll burn down that whole studio if they got rid of me,” he said.

“I always said I wanted to just walk off into the sunset with a dog, but now so many people are doing that, that I don’t know. I don’t know how I’d want to die."

He continued, “I don’t want to die ever, so I don’t want to put it out there. I don’t want to give anyone any ideas."

While Reedus is staying put, he did reveal that he "cried a little" when he learned that Gurira was gearing up to depart.

“I’ve seen so many people come and go on that show, it’s a bummer to me," Reedus added. "Their ghosts are always with me. It’s a very heavy thing to take with you."

It's still unclear how Gurira's alter ego Michonne will depart the series, but it's likely that she will be reuniting with Rick so that the actress can appear in the upcoming trilogy of movies.

What are your thoughts on Reedus sticking with the series? Would you riot if Daryl was no longer part of the show?
