Recap

The broadcast starts and all of the adults are incapacitated, including Pat, Barbara, and Justin.

Pat, under Brainwave's influence, attacks Courtney, but she's able to get through to him by reminding him she's her daughter.

Beth and Chuck then come up with a solution to disrupt the broadcast in the tunnels by activating the frequency blockers, thus freeing Pat and Justin.

The JSA and Justin then meet up looking for the machine.

They come up short and end up fighting the ISA, Dr. Ito, Cindy, and Grundy.

During the fight, Cindy runs Dr. Ito through with a shiv and Yolanda kills Brainwave, who was posing as a very much alive Henry.

As things progress, the Gambler redirects Icicle to go after Beth.

Rick and Pat continue to fight Grundy, while Courtney and Yolanda go to find the machine.

The girls find it and destroy, thus freeing all of the adults from the massive brainwashing.

Icicle then reaches Beth and Barbara, destroying Dr. Mid-Nite's goggles and Chuck and then taking Barbara.

Icicle tries to get Barbara to see things from his point of view, and when she doesn't, he threatens to kill her.

Courtney then attacks Icicle, and Mike runs him over with the car.

Afterward, the JSA talk about moving forward, while Justin leaves Blue Valley to look for other Seven Soldiers of Victory.

Elsewhere, the Shade returns to Blue Valley and Cindy finds the "Heart of Darkness" housing Eclipso in the late Wizard's things.

The episode flash forwards six week to Christmas and Courtney gives Pat the 'world's best father' mug.

The pair then go on a joy ride throughout a snowy Blue Valley.

Meanwhile, in North Hollywood, a man claiming to be Sylvester Pemberton is looking for Pat.

Stargirl Season 1 Episode 13 Quotes

Please Pat, it’s me. It’s Courtney, your daughter. Ever since we came to Blue Valley, you’ve been there for me, every time I needed you. I need you now, Pat. I really, really need you.

Courtney

Girl: What’s happening?
Icicle: Don’t worry child. It’ll be all right.
Girl: What’s wrong with my dad?
Icicle: Well, what’s happening right now to your father, to all of them, they’re going to think differently when they wake up. They’re going to believe in all the right things, all the things they should. They’re going to become better people – good people.
Girl: My dad’s already a good person.
Icicle: You’ll see.
