Rachel Foertsch at .The wait is almost over. With just about two weeks to go, Freeform is finally delivering the second half of Shadowhunters Season 3.
Luckily we were able to preview the premiere early, and we've got the scoop on what to expect when Shadowhunters returns. And we can promise you, this is an episode you do not want to miss.
You may think you're ready, but trust us, you're not.
There are some light teases for the Shadowhunters premiere ahead, so read at your own risk!
And don't forget that you can catch up on the show and watch Shadowhunters online right here at TV Fanatic!
When the show picks back up, everyone is still reeling from the loss of Clary. No one is taking it well, but Jace and Simon are taking it the hardest out of everyone.
Jace, being Jace, feels responsible for Clary's supposed death and is falling apart without her. The whole thing is pretty difficult to watch him go through. If we could reach through our screens and hug him, we would.

Simon also feels responsible since he believes the mark on his head was what killed Clary. Because of that, he's doing everything he can to get rid of it once and for all.
As we've seen in a sneak peek of the episode, Maia has returned and is trying to help Simon in her own way. But nothing can change the fact that she left when Simon needed her, and Simon ended up finding support elsewhere.
Isabelle was there for Simon when no one else was, and even Maia knows it.
Because of this, it seems like Isabelle and Simon may be working together a lot this season, as she knows everything that Simon went through.
It's clear that Isabelle cares for him a lot and that she'll always be there for him as Simon was for her.

The Shadowhunters Season 3B Trailer gave us a taste of what's to come between the two, so it's no question that Simon and Isabelle will continue to grow closer.
There's really no mistaking that almost-kiss between them, so it's obvious that eventually, they're going to start becoming more than just friends.
However, that doesn't mean there will be any bad blood between Maia and Isabelle.
They're pretty close and have helped each other in the past. Whatever happens in the future, it seems like Shadowhunters knows how to handle the situation right.
We also know from the Shadowhunters Season 3B Trailer that Clary isn't as dead as everyone thinks she is. So where is she? That's something you're going to have to watch to find out.
Magnus and Alec also face a dilemma that causes them to do some out-of-the-box thinking.
But Magnus and Alec are two of the most intelligent (and precious) characters in existence. If anyone can solve problems, it's them. Keep your fingers crossed just in case.

And then there's the issue of Jonathan. We won't speak too much about him, but he has an odd way of making you feel for him in the premiere. There were even times we forgot what a horrible person he was.
Luke Baines has an excellent debut as Jonathan, and he completely nails the role. It was hard to remember that two different actors were playing him. It was literally like he jumped from one body to the next.
Although Luke Baines did a great job, we also can't help but miss Will Tudor. Could we maybe have them both in the show somehow? Pretty please?
Jonathan Morgenstern is good at appearances, and there's no doubt he's going to stir up all kinds of trouble.
