AMC has released a new image from The Walking Dead Season 4 and it has us wondering: What happened to Daryl's face?

Or has a cold spell suddenly hit the smash cable drama?

First published by Entertainment Weekly, the image depicts a scarf-donning Daryl Dixon… and nothing else. There are few conclusions to be drawn from the shot, except that most female viewers will be displeased at the covering of Norman Reedus' mug.

This is the second Season 4 photo released by the network.

In the first image, we see Rick in the woods, not exactly alone.

The Walking Dead Season 4 will premiere in October, with an exact opening date likely to be announced next week at Comic-Con. TV Fanatic will be on the scene and all over the news.
