... Dan Harmon may return to helm Community Season 5.

A staff member of Hollywoodkiee was in the audience when Harmon said he had been asked back by NBC (this reveal was edited out of the final broadcast) and then joked that he would only return if Chevy Chase was also brought back.

There's been no word of any kind from NBC about the move, as Harmon was fired from his post a year ago and Community Season 4 went on to receive lukewarm reviews from long-time fans and critics.

But the sitcom was renewed for another 13 episodes, so NBC must have some confidence in it without Harmon in charge. Or the network is looking for any kind of buzz it can generate heading into the 2013-2014 season.

It's NBC. Really, anything is in play here.
