God Friended Me is proving to be a solid performer when it has a strong lead-in.
The freshman CBS drama perked up two tenths to 8 million total viewers and a 1.1 rating in the demo.
After that, NCIS: LA slipped a tenth to 6.8 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating.
Madam Secretary was steady with 4.8 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating.
Meanwhile, Supergirl was steady with 1.1 million total viewers and a 0.3 rating, while Charmed was flat in the demo but bounced back from its low in total viewers.
The reboot had 0.7 million total viewers and a 0.2 rating.
Over on ABC, American Idol aired for three hours and secured 7.2 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating.
It was right on par with last week.
NBC's World of Dance slipped to 3.2 million viewers and a 0.7 rating, hitting new lows.
Good Girls also took a hit, matching lows in the demo with 2.2 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.
The Simpsons (2.1 million/0.8 rating) and Family Guy (2.2 million/0.9 rating) were both steady.
