TV Ratings Report: Dancing with the Stars Juniors Debuts Low

at .

If you've been keeping up with the ratings for Dancing with the Stars over the last few years, you will be well aware that the show is dropping in the ratings.

It's surprising then that ABC would opt to air a junior edition while the regular series is still airing.

Dancing with the Stars: Juniors launched Sunday night, and it was predictably weaker than the main series.

It garnered a paltry 0.7 rating across two-hours. Given that most shows generally drop post-premiere, this is not a good start.

Shark Tank followed with a 0.6 rating. That's down seven-tenths vs. last fall's launch and two-tenths from last season's finale.

Katie & Nate - God Friended Me Season 1 Episode 2

Over on CBS, God Friended Me slid four-tenths to a 0.9 rating. NCIS: Los Angeles was also down to a 0.8 rating, while Madam Secretary returned with a 0.6 and was right on par with last season's average.

The Simpsons (1.8), Bob's Burgers (1.2), and Family Guy (1.2) were all steady for Fox, but Rel got uglier with a 0.7 rating.

The cancellation clock is already ticking on the freshman comedy.

The CW made its grand return to Sundays by airing iHeartRadio Music Festival coverage, which had a 0.2 rating.

Next week, Charmed and Supergirl step into battle for those younger demos.
