John Larroquette is taking a step into the future.

The veteran actor (Deception, Chuck, CSI: NY) will recur on Almost Human Season 1 as Nigel, described by Entertainment Weekly sources as “genius roboticist."

Look for the sympathetic character to be "highly intelligent and a bit broken.”

Fox is banking heavily on Almost Human to follow in the footsteps of Sleepy Hollow as a breakout freshman hit.

The drama is set in Los Angeles in 2048, produced by J.H. Wyman and stars Karl Urban and Michale Ealy as a pair of police officers, one of whom is an android.

It will premiere on Sunday, November 17 and then air its second episode on Monday, November 18 in its usual 8 p.m. time slot.
