Terra Nova was originally scheduled to air its pilot episode this spring, Glee style, followed by a summer break before officially becoming part of the Fox 2011-2012 schedule.

But the network was forced to delay the debut of this Steven Spielberg-produced drama because it could not complete work on the special effects in time.

No matter, though. Based on the footage released in the following video, it's clear the wait will be very much worth our while. Check out a few clips from the high-concept series now and then read our interview with star Jason O'Mara for more of a Terra Nova preview...
