Make room for Father Awesome, Chuck viewers!

When this NBC series returns on September 20, fans should NOT expect to see Chuck's pal back in the field.

“Last season Awesome realized if there was one place in the world where he wasn’t awesome, it was on spy missions,” producer Chris Fedak told Michael Ausiello. “He’d like to stay as far away from the spy world as he can.”

The man has an extra, adorable reason to stay at home, as well: a baby on the way!

“He is going to be way  more into all of the rituals of pregnancy than even Ellie is,” said fellow producer Josh Schwartz. “Like all things in life, Awesome is going to throw himself into the pregnancy with his usual fervor.”

TV Fanatic will cover all things Chuck when season four commences next month, including Linda Hamilton as the title character's mother and the return of Armand Assante as Premier Alejandro Goya.
