Get to Know a Soap Opera Star: Shelley Hennig

Shelley Hennig won the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2004. After earning the crown, and briefly appearing on Passions, Shelley won the role of Stephanie on Days of Our Lives, a part previously portrayed by Shayna Rose.

Here are a few interesting facts about Henning:

• Alison Sweeney (Sami, Days of Our Lives) was one of the judges in the 2004 Miss Teen USA pageant.

• Henning several poems published in the Young Authors' Book Of Poetry

• She's done work with the Louisiana non-profit organization C.A.D.A (Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse)

• Her father met President Bush during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
