Bruce Daniels is found dead in his apartment. The neighbor, Wayne, says that his ex-wife left him six months ago when he lost a lot of money with his investments. His grown son was angry that his father cut off his credit cards. There’s video of him visiting his father the night he was killed.
The ex-wife confesses to the murder but she doesn’t know what was used to poison Bruce. Just as Baez and Danny are about to arrest the son, Bruce’s suicide letter show’s up. It turns out he was so distraught that he poisoned himself.
Danny is having financial troubles after Linda’s death. Someone offers him a job doing private security for a family for $250,000 a year. Danny feels he has to take it for the good of his family, but his boys and the rest of his family convince him to turn it down.
Nicky decides to use the last name Boyle instead of Reagan when applying for jobs. She gets a job as an intern and is continually hit on by her boss Robert Jones. When he forcibly kisses her in his office, Nicky walks out and three other women leave with her. Erin offers to have on of her investigators look into the harassment case if all of the woman are willing to come forward.
Officer Whitman, a rookie stops Mr. Rivera for jaywalking and asks him for ID and his immigration status. Many passerby record the incident and it goes viral. Although Mr. Rivera has a clean record, a job, a wife and kids, because of the incident, he is now awaiting trial and will likely be deported. He is also claustrophobic and spent months being locked up in Venezuela as a political dissident.
Although Frank and Sid are reluctant to take the situation seriously, Garrett implores them to take some action because the situation is a PR nightmare. Despite Officer Whitman’s otherwise clean record and family ties to the NYPD, Frank decides to fire her for bringing undue criticism onto the department while still being under probation.
