Beloved Supernatural star, Jared Padalecki has been arrested.
According to TMZ, the actor was taken into custody Sunday morning in Austin, Texas.
The 37-year-old was said to have been partying at Stereotype Bar, a club which he frequents, and according to some reports, he might also have an investment in the establishment.
Based on surveillance footage and various people who were in the area at the time the incident occurred, Padelecki grew violent on the sidewalk.
It is alleged that Padalecki struck a bartender in the face inside the bar.
As if that wasn't bad enough, a friend was apparently trying to calm him down on the sidewalk, and Padalecki is said to have placed him in a headlock.
The police ultimately arrived at the scene and restrained the actor, before taking him into custody.
However, it has also been reported that Padalecki tried to get out of being arrested by bribing his way out of the situation with cash.
That did not go down well.
Padalecki is facing two counts of assault, as well as one count of public intoxication. His bond has been set at $15,000.
Like we said before, it's possible that Padalecki has an investment in the bar. He promoted the opening on his social media channels.
One of the things was a flyer promoting the place, which he shared back in 2018.
The club’s Facebook page describes itself as “a music-centric concept, featuring rotating DJs – including dedicated vinyl DJ sets – video DJs sets and live music. Stereotype blends sophistication with retro and nineties flair to create an infinitely entertaining and approachable bacchanal scene.”
The actor is probably best known for his lead role on Supernatural, a series which has become the longest-running one on The CW.
He stars as demon hunter Sam Winchester on the series, which was recently renewed for a 15th and final season.
But Padalecki is an in-demand actor and has already lined up his TV return, thanks to a lead role in the in-development Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.
