Is there any way True Detective Season 2 can live up to True Detective Season 1?
Well, we have just under two weeks before we're given the chance to find out. In this teaser, which HBO has titled, "Stand," we get shots of Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch running down the street, guns raised and wearing bulletproof vests, as well as a host of others looking both thoughtful and morose.
Vince Vaughn's character is in a lineup, of sorts, facing what appears to be a group of rivals (they're outnumbered). Rachel McAdams plays anxious like nobody's business.
There are no words said and a steady pounding score that gives off a feeling of concern for all involved. While we have absolutely no idea what any of it means at this time, we still can't wait to find out.
True Detective returns Sunday, June 21 at 9/8c.
