The Pfeffermans are ready for their close-up once again.
Well... as long as you get Maura's gender correct, that is.
Amazon has released the first trailer for Transgender Season 2, which will stream on December 11 and which will bring back Emmy winner Jeffrey Tambor in his inspirational breakout role.
We’ve also learned that Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston and Emmy winner Cherry Jones will guest star on the new season, though no details regarding their characters have been released just yet.
Huston and Jones aren't the only big names set to come on board this winter.
We can also look forward to appearance by Kathryn Hahn (Parks and Recreation), Rob Huebel (I Love You, Man), Carrie Brownstein (Portlandia), Alexandra Billings, Tig Notaro, Alex MacNicoll and Trace Lysette.
Not to mention the returns of Bradley Whitford, Melora Hardin, Michaela Watkins and Emily Robinson.
Transparent Season 2 will kick off with Sarah and Tammy’s wedding. Among other storylines on tap:
- Maura will face several some tough personal decisions about her future, now that she's out of the closet.
- Josh and Rabbi Raquel will navigate their new relationship, along with the complication of being an instant family for Josh’s recently returned son, Colton.
- Ali will focus on her future while being captivated by a new connection with Syd and a prolific feminist mentor.
