The Haunting of Hill House Trailer: What Happened in That House?

at .  Updated at .

Beware of the red door and bad dreams.

That's the main takeaway from the official trailer for Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House.

Let's just say it's heavy on the jump scares and light on good things happening to this family.

The Haunting of Hill House Poster

Described as "a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson's iconic novel, The Haunting of Hill House explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country.

"Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past -- some of which still lurk in their minds, while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House."

The trailer shows various horrific scenarios that will likely barely scratch the surface of what's actually in store when all ten episodes bow on the streamer.

A Spooky Door

The cast includes Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti, Lulu Wilson, McKenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw, and Julian Hilliard.

It was created, directed and exec produced by Mike Flanagan, who brought Hush and Gerald's Game to audiences.

The Haunting of Hill House will be a limited series, which should tell us a complete story throughout those ten episodes ordered.
