Supergirl Season 3 Trailer: Welcome, Erica Durance!

at . Comments

We've known for a while now that Erica Durance was coming to Supergirl, but we did not expect her to be part of the trailer shown off at San Diego Comic-Con.

She's not an integral part of the trailer, but she's there, and that's all that matters in our book.

The former Smallville actress is portraying Alura Zor-El and will take over the role from Laura Benanti who departed the show for personal reasons.

We also get to hear Kara essentially bid adieu to her life as a human. If you watch Supergirl online, you will know this comes on the heels of Mon-El being sent back to space following Earth being rendered uninhabitable for Daxamites.

We already know that Chris Wood is returning to the show, but will he still be a series regular?

Time will tell, we guess.

Ready for a Fight - Supergirl Season 2 Episode 22

That's something that's going to weigh heavy on Supergirl's mind as she gets ready to leave her human life behind.

In other news, we get to see Odette Annable in action as Reign, and yes, she's supposed to be one of the new villains boarding the series.

It was a short glimpse, but we're sure she will be a riveting character with a lot of power.

The icing on the cake, however, was the reveal that Alex and Maggie are still fighting crime as a duo.

The two characters are so great together. It's difficult to put into words how great they are for one another.

Have a look at the full trailer below and chat with us in the comments about your thoughts on it.

Was it worth the wait?

Supergirl Quotes

The thing that makes women strong, is that we have the guts to be vulnerable. We have the ability to feel the depths of our emotion, and we know that we will walk through it to the other side.

Supergirl: You're not a mindless drone.
Cat: No, I learned that lesson when Demi Moore and I wore the same dress to the premiere of Ghost. Never again.
