Game of Thrones Season 7: New Video, Dark Sansa & Samwell's Death!

The Game of Thrones cast took Comic Con by storm as they set out to tease what to expect from Game of Thrones Season 7

They started with David Benioff addressing the lengthy wait we have in store before we get to lay eyes on the first hour of the penultimate season.

“Winter is here, and we have to shoot in places where there are trees. We have to wait until leaves fall off. … There’s no way to get the show out there until Summer.”

I'm all for the show looking awesome, but I'm not all for the show taking its sweet merry time to return. We had to wait longer for Game of Thrones Season 6, but the wait for Season 7 is going to be hell.

Hell is something that a lot of people will be going through with Cersei ruling the Iron Throne. She will be quick to take people down who stand in her way.

Iwan Rheon had a few choice things to say about his character, Ramsey Bolton. There's no denying he was as wicked as they come, but Rheon was surprisingly supportive of his actions.

“Poor guy’s had a tough upbringing. He’s a bastard in the North, which is always difficult, and he’s been looking for his father’s love and acceptance all his life.”

Okay then.

Hodor's death was no doubt one of the key talking points of the year for TV. It was so raw and emotional. Kristian Nairn made it clear that the death was a shock.

“It has been overwhelming. I did not expect it to be so crazy. I’m really, really flattered as well. It’s blown my mind. I was in LA a few days ago at a hotel, and all their door stops said ‘Hodor’ on them. I went, ‘Really?’ It’s been incredible."

"The scene was incredibly written and directed. I knew I was going to be killed, but I didn’t expect the outpouring of emotions.”

We also got word that John Bradley (Samwell Tarley) has an idea for the death of his character, and it's pretty basic by Game of Thrones standards.

“Sam’s always been told that books are follies and to be dismissed.”

Could a book really take Sam out of the game?!

Sophie Turner had some theories of her own about why Sansa didn't open up to Jon Snow about bringing in the Lord of the Vale.

“She wanted all the credit, and it was a more dramatic moment when they showed up. It made for really good television."

She also spoke about the fact that her character could go dark in the wake of letting Ramsey be murdered by his hounds.

There's no denying that Sansa has changed, but she is most certainly not a cold-blooded killer.

That's just taking it a little too far.

Turner was also quick to dismiss claims that Sansa and Jon Snow could become romantically linked.

Her biggest moment on the panel was speaking about Sansa's conflicting aspirations with Jon Snow.

“I’m not sure she believes Jon is capable of running Winterfell and the North,” Turned said.

“She thinks he doesn’t have the intellect, the knowledge and the experience that she has … and I concur. But she knows he has those Stark morals, and inevitably, he’ll make the right decision. But whether it’s going to benefit anyone is another story.”

The panel came to a close with a video showing that the next season of Game of Thrones is most certainly in production.

Can't it come sooner?!

Game of Thrones Quotes

Thoros: You still mad at us, boy?
Gendry: You sold me to a witch.
Thoros: A priestess. I'll admit, it is a subtle distinction.
Beric: We're fighting a great war. Wars cost money.
Gendry: I wanted to be one of you. I wanted to join the brotherhood, but you sold me off... like a slave. Do you know what she did to me? She strapped me down in the bed. She stripped me naked.
The Hound: Sounds alright so far.
Gendry: And put leeches on me.
The Hound: Was she naked, too?
Thoros: She needed your blood.
Gendry: Yes, thank you. I know that.
The Hound: Could have been worse.
Gendry: She wanted to kill me. They would have killed me if it wasn't for Davos.
The Hound: But they didn't, did they? So what are you whinging about?
Gendry: I'm not whinging.
The Hound: Your lips are moving and you're complaining about something. That's whinging. This one's been killed six times. You don't hear him whinging about it.

Tyrion: Let me give you some advice bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.
Jon: What the hell do you know about being a bastard?
Tyrion: All dwarfs are bastards in their father's eyes.
