There's a lot of news to unpack with you TV Fanatics on this fine Wednesday.
From Veronica Mars casting scoop to Steve Carell's Saturday Night Live encore to Michael Sheen's new TV gig, I think you'll find some news that is right up your street.
First up, Kirby Howell-Baptiste has landed a recurring role on Hulu's forthcoming Veronica Mars revival, according to Deadline.
Howell-Baptiste currently appears alongside Kristen Bell on NBC's The Good Place.
Kirby is on board to play Nicole, the owner of a popular Neptune nightclub which may or may not be linked to the spring breakers who start turning up dead.
Alongside Bell and Howell-Baptiste, Enrico Colantoni (Keith) Jason Dohring (Logan), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Francis Capra (Weevil), Ryan Hansen (Dick Casablancas) and David Starzyk (Richard Casablancas), and Dawnn Lewis are all slated to appear.
Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live has set a return date for Steve Carell.
The actor will host the NBC hit for the third time on November 17. It's been over ten years since The Office alum hosted, so it's bound to be a momentous occasion.
While Carell has spent a lot of time away from SNL, he was recently added to the cast of Apple's untitled morning show drama.
He will star on the new series opposite Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
Over on CBS All Access, Michael Sheen has landed the series regular role of Roland Blum on The Good Fight Season 3, according to TV Line.
Roland is a lawyer who is determined to win every case, even if it means not following the law.
Sheen is an in-demand actor who is also attached to the cast of Amazon Prime's Good Omens which is slated to debut later this year.
Finally, Freeform has unveiled the first trailer for Life Size 2 which will bring back Tyra Banks.
"Grace Manning (Francia Raisa) is the 20-something CEO of Marathon Toys, a huge toy company started by her mother that is most famous for manufacturing the iconic Eve doll," reads the official logline for the movie which debuts December 2.
"Grace is also in the middle of her quarter-life crisis, realizing she is in over her head as CEO. To make matters worse, her wild-child ways are causing the company’s stock to plummet."
"With the help of her young next-door neighbor, Grace’s old Eve doll (Tyra Banks) magically awakens to help get Grace back on track and give her the confidence to be the woman and leader Eve knows Grace can be."
