When 9-1-1 returns for Season 2 this fall, the hit Fox drama will have some fresh faces.

The official trailer for the new season showed us Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ryan Guzman in action, and they are poised to be great additions to the cast.

Hewitt is playing Maddie Buckley aka Buck's sister, a 911 operator with a dark past, who will find herself in a horrifying situation when the drama returns.

The big disaster focuses on an 8.2 magnitude earthquake bringing Los Angeles to its knees and the characters will have to fight for their lives and for the people they are tasked with saving.

Hewitt will help fill the void left by Connie Britton who exited at the close of 9-1-1 Season 1. While there are no plans to bring Britton back as Abby, there's a chance that if schedules work out, she could pop back up.

9-1-1 is getting a two-night premiere and will debut Sunday, September 23 following NFL football.

Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi and Rockmond Dunbar are also part of the regular cast.

9-1-1 Quotes

Romero: So, she was on the phone with 911, not about an intruder when she was shot. What are the odds?
Athena: Well, Delia treated 911 like her own personal grievance hotline. I'd say the odds of her dying with them on the line were above average.

Mother plague. Like like you're really leaning into your band name.
