Tom Cavanagh was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

He is best known as the star of the NBC sitcom Ed, and for his guest starring appearances on the sitcom Scrubs. Cavanagh has also appeared on Love Monkey, Eli Stone, Trust Me and Royal Pains.

He currently stars as Dr. Harrison Wells in the CW's new series, The Flash.
