Mary Beth Evans, 46, is an actress most famous for her role as Kayla Brady Deveraux Johnson on the soap opera Days of Our Lives from July 1986-May 1992, and from 2006-present.
Her Days of Our Lives character became half of the supercouple, Steve and Kayla. Steve was played by Stephen Nichols.
Prior to her first stint on Days of Our Lives, she played Piper in the teen romantic comedy Lovelines.
Evans returned to the world of soap operas in September 1993 as villainess Katherine Bell Ashton on General Hospital, where she stayed until October 1999. While on General Hospital she was once again paired with Nichols, as Stefan Cassadine.
In 2004, One Life to Live almost signed her on contract for the role of Dr. Paige Miller on the series, but Mary Beth Evans backed out at the last moment and the role was filled with Kimberlin Brown.
She moved to New York City to start her role as Sierra Esteban Montgomery on As the World Turns a role she played from 2000-2005.
On June 12, 2006, Evans returned to Days of Our Lives as Kayla after a 14-year absence.
