America Ferrera was born to parents that immigrated from Honduras in the mid 70s. She got her acting start at only 18 with a leading role in Real Women Have Curves. Since then she has probably best been known on the big screen for her role in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel. However, of coruse the role that helped her mage Time Magazine's list of the 100 most infouential people in the world is the title role on Ugly Betty.
