The Great (Hulu)
The Great follows the rise of Catherine the Great and her plot to kill her husband. It does so with the addition of comedy and satire. Never Have I Ever (Netflix)
Never Have I Ever is a fresh approach to a coming of age story where after a horrible freshman year, Devi wants to change her social status, but friends, family, and feelings do not make it easy for her. The best part of Never Have I Ever is the balance it finds with telling a story of grief through a comedic lens of its young protagonist. Not everything is perfect because it rarely ever is, and the show handles that depiction effortlessly.
