13 Shows That Will Get You Through The Walking Dead Hiatus

at .  Updated at .

On the heels of The Walking Dead season 6 finale, we've been left with a giant hole in our hearts.

Without The Walking Dead to constantly think about and watch, what do we do with our time until season 7? Luckily, there are plenty of amazing shows with a similar vibe or premise as The Walking Dead available to binge and fall in love with.

From The Walking Dead's companion series on AMC, to a brand new horror show by Robert Kirkman, here are 13 TV shows to watch that should help ease your hiatus pain.

1. Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones
There's only one show currently airing on TV that compares to the quality and epic-ness of The Walking Dead, and that's Game of Thrones. Walking Dead lovers will surely enjoy Game of Thrones, mainly because only 1% of the world isn't a fan of it. If you've been living under a rock and haven't watched Thrones, crawl out into the light and cue up HBO Go now. Season 2 starts on April 24th.

2. Fear the Walking Dead

Fear the Walking Dead
From the same creators of The Walking Dead, AMC's Fear is an obvious choice for many fans of the show. Existing in the same world as The Walking Dead, Fear gives viewers a look at the beginning of the zombie outbreak and focuses on a family as they navigate the apocalypse in Los Angeles. You'll get the same style zombies, horror film vibes, and a totally different tone than what you're used to seeing on the original show.

3. Daredevil

Daredevil
Daredevil is one of the best shows to come out in years, and it's one of the most impressive Marvel adaptations ever. If you haven't seen season 1, prepare to fall in love with Matt Murdock. If you haven't seen season 2 (now out on Netflix!), prepare to fall in love with the Punisher. If you enjoy dark, gritty superhero dramas with some seriously kickass fight scenes, Daredevil has to be on your watch list.

4. Hunters

Hunters
Hunters is one of Syfy's newest dramas. One of the executive producers from The Walking Dead, Gale Anne Hurd, also serves as an EP on this show. The premiere episode aired on April 11th, so Hunters is a good one to start watching from the very beginning. If you're cool with horror and aliens, give this one a try.

5. Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones
Another brilliant Marvel adaptation that found a home on Netflix, Jessica Jones is equal to (or maybe even better than) the awesomeness that is Daredevil. Krysten Ritter as the strong, fiery, and damaged Jessica Jones is impossible not to fall in love with. Plus, David Tennant as Kilgrave is one of the best onscreen villains in the last decade. No word yet on when season 2 will start production.

6. iZombie

iZombie
iZombie has a completely different vibe than The Walking Dead. It's light, humorous, and is more of a procedural style show ... but it has zombies and it's indisputably good. iZombie (in its second season on The CW), follows a zombie named Liv Moore (Rose McIver). She's a fully-functioning, seemingly normal person, but she eats brains and uses her zomb-ilities to help solve criminal cases. Side note: iZombie is adapted from a comic book as well! You can watch the first season on Netflix now!
