There's an explosion near the hospital. Bash runs into the explosion. He tries to help a woman named Julia who is trapped under a beam. Bash gives her blood. She has a wife named Naomi. Julia has chemical burns in her lungs. Bash has a flashback during surgery of finding his mother dead in an explosion. His PSD is affecting his work, and Dr. Bishop notices.
Naomi is at the hospital looking for Julia. Mags discovers she has internal bleeding. She tries to get her help, but the elevator shuts down and the two get stuck. Naomi has a hematoma. She can't breathe. Mags has to operate in the elevator without imaging or proper tools.
A little girl named Gabi suffered cardiac arrest. Theo is treating her. Her mother is scared she won't wake up.
Dr. Bishop asks Mags to help out.
Bash and June treat a man named Kevin who helped Julia. He was in the bike shop. He presents chemical burns too. They realize the chemicals came from rust remover, which is why other patients aren't presenting burns. Kevin points out that Julia was in the shop with him.
June operates on Kevin without Dr. Singh because they don't have time to wait for him. He says she should have waited.
Bash's hands shake. He tells Dr. Bishop that there were chemicals in the explosion. He has minor chemical burns. Dr. Bishop tells him he needs to be treated before he can help others. He doesn't like that.
Alexia is looking for her boyfriend Chris. He wasn't in the explosion. She brought him in because he overdosed. Claire agrees to help. She learns Chris didn't make it. Claire helps Alexia because she was a runaway too.
