Gloria (Judith Chapman) is tearfully reading the letter from John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) to Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart).

Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are going over night nurse resumes right about when David Chow (Vincent Irizarry) calls Nikki.

Neil (Kristoff St. John) walks in on David in the Newman conference room, and David, pissed off that he just got hung up on, yells at Neil.

At the coffeehouse, Maggie Sullivan (Tammy Lauren) and Heather (Vail Bloom) go over the details of going over to Victor's ranch with a search warrant.

Gloria tells Lauren that she has to go back before the ethics committee to read her letter. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) reads the letter and agrees that Gloria needs to share the letter with the ethics committee.

Nikki and Victor are discussing music therapy for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) when Neil comes over to warn them that the police are coming to search the place.

In Madison, Jack (Peter Bergman) gets off the phone with a source who says that the ethics committee are responding favorably to his apology.

Sharon (Sharon Case) is excited. Ben (Billy Warlock) comes to the courtroom to report excitedly that the police are searching Victor's house.

• Jack asks Sharon for the third time and she says that she doesn't expect him to roll over and take the blame for something he didn't do.
• David calls Nikki again, but she blows him off again. After a few minutes, she calls him back to ask him to bring things from the office for her.
• Sharon is about go home when Ben comes back with the news that Michael Baldwin requested to meet with the committee with new testimony.

The police have left the Newman ranch, taking Victor's computer among other things. Nikki is indignant that Jack would drag Victor's name through the mud.

Victor contemplates how Jack orchestrated the police search. Someone from Nikki's office comes over to deliver a box of files. Nikki calls him to help the nurse adjust Victoria's bed.

David calls Nikki to tell her that he had the package of her work things sent home. Victor secretly takes a letter out of Nikki's box. The committee votes to allow Gloria to address the committee.

Gloria reads John's letter to the committee. John wrote that Jack helped him to rewrite his will even though John loved Gloria and wanted her to have half of his estate...
