We meet a werewolf named Hayley on this Vampire Diaries episode, as she showed up from Tyler's past after Klaus assigned a pair of hybrids to keep an eye on him. It looks like she shares a history - romantic, perhaps - with him from back when he left to break the sire bond.
ELSEWHERE...
- Elena struggled big time with her control and rage issues. She really wanted to kill Rebekah. She almost drank all of Matt. In the end, Damon promised to teach her how to be a vampire.
- Caroline, meanwhile, promised to help keep Stefan in check in case he gave in to his Ripper-like urges.
- We also learned that The Hunter is a member of "The Five," except he doesn't know what that means. Klaus recognized it from the marking on his arrows and ended the episode by saving Connor's life and vowing to teach him about his history.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
