Rebekah returns on The Originals Season 2 Episode 8. During an outing to the park, she believes she's been spotted by one of Esther's spells.

Klaus and Elijah begin their dinner party with Finn and Kol, revealing their quest for an alliance against Esther. When Finn reveals that Esther may have eyes on Rebekah, Elijah is persuaded to action. Klaus reigns him in.

When Rebekah calls, Klaus sends Elijah to rescue her and Hope. He stays behind to convince Finn and Kol to change their allegiance.

Rebekah arrives at her meeting place with Elijah to discover that he has changed, but after she learns of their mother's offer.

Aiden visits Hayley and Jackson to tell them the pack believes there's a traitor in their midst. Together they discover a way to save the werewolves under Esther's control. They need a shaman to perform a unification ceremony, essentially marrying them, which will bestow Hayley's hybrid powers on the rest of the pack.

Davina goes to Marcel and Josh for help when she believes she allowed Kol to take the White Oak stake. Marcel advises Davina not to see Kol and goes to the compound to help Klaus with his brothers. Kol offers to help Marcel regain control of the city and Klaus offers Finn the opportunity to choose his own path in life.

Davina insists Josh call Aiden over to Marcel's loft so she can meet him. She uses his visit as a way to escape to Kol's clubhouse where she practices dark magic in order to attack Klaus. 

Hayley calls Cami to find information about the werewolf ritual. Instead, Hayley spies the remnants of Esther's magic on Cami's back. Esther began preparing Cami to become a vessel for Rebekah's essence.

While Klaus tries to persuade both of his brothers to join him, Finn tells him the story of Dahlia and their mother's sacrifice.
