Louis Canning survives his serious illness and asks Alicia to visit him in the ICU. He’s received a kidney transplant from a 13 year old girl who died in a freak soccer accident and he wants to gift the family his millions of dollars but David Lee, his estate attorney isn’t returning his phone calls. David Lee tells Alicia that the family wants to donate the money to a pro-Palestine charity and David refuses to be involved for fear they are involved with Hamas. Alicia decides to look into it herself. Later, Eli warns Alicia that his could all be a set up to make it look as though she is giving money to Hamas which will ruin her campaign. When Alicia confronts Canning, he says he was on heavy medication and remembers none of it.

Diane and Cary team up with Finn Pohlmer on behalf of a man who was crippled after someone else made a plastic gun from a 3D printer and a misfire took place at a shooting range. They are suing the designer of the gun. Kurt McVeigh testifies on their behalf until he realizes that there was a problem with the printing, not the design. He and Diane argue over the case and she has to serve him with a subpeona to get him to testify again.
