Recap

In Seattle, Jason Mesnick races home to give Ty a big hug.

The women pull up in a limo outside of the Olympic Fairmont Hotel, which is right in the middle of downtown Seattle.

Jason is there to greet them and show them to their beautiful hotel suite. Ah, The Bachelor.

Jason invites Melissa to go on the first one-on-one date, much to Naomi's chagrin. Jason gets ready for his date with Melissa, but Ty is cranky.

He doesn't want his dad to leave at all, and demands some father-son time.

Meanwhile, Melissa, dressed in her snazzy little black dress, is worried that he's late. Jason decides to forgo the fancy date he planned and to invite Melissa to come over for a chill night in instead.

This ends up working to her advantage as the other women are now even more jealous since Melissa now has the opportunity to meet Ty ahead of schedule.

Melissa arrives at Jason's home to find a note on the door indicating that Jason is putting Ty down for the night so she should make herself at home.

She pours herself a glass of wine as Jason finally comes downstairs. After a little while, Melissa changes into some shorts and a casual top.

Jason isn't quite ready for any of the bachelorettes to meet Ty, but he lets her peek into the room while Ty sleeps. A little later, Melissa and Jason talk cozily on the couch about kids. Melissa totally wants some!

Back at the hotel, the other women can't help but feel enormously jealous of Melissa's unique, unplanned opportunity to check out Jason's home.

Jason asks Melissa whom he would meet if they go to Dallas for a hometown date. She says that it's hard for her to bring anyone home, but the fact that she wants to is proof that she has real feelings for him.

Back at the hotel, the women receive their next date card.

Stephanie, Jillian and Molly are invited to go on a group date, which means that Naomi gets the second one-on-one.

Stephanie, Jillian and Molly meet Jason for a Golden Argosy cruise on Lake Washington. They check out the houseboats.

The yacht drifts lazily around on Lake Union, and Jason takes Stephanie up to steer the boat.

Jason asks how her daughter Sophia is doing.

After the cruise, Jason takes the women to a radio station with Jackie and Bender, who host a local morning show.

Jason goes into the studio to do the interview, and Stephanie, Molly and Jillian are sequestered in a separate room where they can see him but can't hear what he's saying.

Jason says that his favorite date was with Stephanie and that Molly is the best kisser.

Bender asks Jason whether he would be able to identify the three women by their kisses while wearing a blindfold, and then puts him to the test.

Jason is blindfolded. First Jillian kisses him, then Stephanie and then Molly. Jason gets it right, three for three.

Jackie asks the women about what they like most about Jason and what they are like when the lights go out.

Molly likes to wear lingerie, Jillian likes to be goofy and intimate, and Stephanie says that her approach to sex is that she wants to make sure that her man is completely taken care of.

After the radio show, Jason and the three women go back to their hotel for dinner at The Georgian Room. Jason pulls Jillian aside and asks how she's doing overall because he's noticed that she has changed a bit.

She explains emotionally that she wanted to be on The Bachelor for the experience and the fun, but she has really started feel like she wants to build a life with him.

She very honestly tells him that she doesn't think her expectations are too high because she's really in the right stage of her life for taking the next step and settling down.

Back at the hotel room, Naomi gets her date card, which hints at heights.

Jason takes Molly outside for a walk outside. He points out the Pike Place market and they walk down to the Aquarium.

Outside underneath a lamp post, Molly tells Jason about her family. She says that if they go to Michigan to meet her family, they'll have to play some beer pong. Nice!

The next day, Jason gets ready to meet Naomi. A seaplane pulls up on the water, and the two climb aboard. Ooh, there's a rainbow in the sky.

At the hotel, Stephanie and the other women talk on the phone to Sophia. Stephanie says that she honestly doesn't think that Naomi is ready to be a mom.

Back on Naomi's date, they go to the REI flagship store. They talk about what each is looking for in a life partner, and Naomi is really confident that they both want the same things in life.

After climbing, they settle in next to the fireplace on the main floor of the deserted store for a romantic snack of fondue.

He wants to know more about Naomi's family dynamics, and she's the first of the five women to have a normal relationship with her family.

It sounds like she and her parents have had a difficult time in the past but they have worked at their relationship since then.

Jason is worried that because Naomi's parents haven't stayed together, that might mean that she isn't going to be a stable partner.

Naomi shares with him that she definitely wants to adopt children and have her own children as well. They snuggle down in the sleeping bags and camping gear. Jason seems glad that Naomi really opened up to him during the date.

Back at the hotel, the other women hang out in the hot tub together, discussing everyone's fears and insecurities.

The next morning, Jason plays with Ty before going downtown to meet the women.

He's worried that if there's anyone there who could break his heart, it's Jillian. They go out for some coffee, and she really lays out her feelings for him. That seems to change his mind a bit.

It's almost time for the Rose Ceremony, and Jason thinks long and hard about which bachelorette to send home.

Chris Harrison reminds us for the 770th time that the four women who survive tonight's elimination will get to take Jason home for hometown dates.

Jason shows up and stalls a bit. He says that he still needs to talk some more to Naomi and takes her aside.

Jason is still unsure about whether Naomi is ready to leave her single lifestyle behind, and she says in glowing terms that she is.

Jason gives a rose to Jillian, Melissa and Molly.

It's down to Stephanie and the lisping Naomi.

And the last rose goes to.... Naomi. Stephanie is crestfallen.

In private, Stephanie concedes to Jason that she never him look at her in a head-over-heels kind of way. Jason wants to keep her as a friend forever.
