Kara finds out that Cat won an award and overhears her arguing with her mother about getting someone to watch her son. Kara says that she will look after him for her and Cat is gleeful that Kara has it in her to go up the ranks.

Kara is late to pick up Carter when someone begins setting bombs off across the city. She's shocked when it leads to Maxwell Lord. When Alex investigates, a bomb is found in his building and he messes up the process of disarming it. 

Alex tells Kara she's going to end up in the friend zone and it leads to her cutting James off when he speaks about Lucy.

After picking Carter up late, Kara must rush off to save Alex from the bomb. She takes it out of the city and wakes up in pain. 

Lucy stops Kara, asking about Jimmy's relationship status. 

Kara must save people on a train from Knox's bomb, but Kara is shell shocked when she realizes that Carter is on the train. 

It transpires that Maxwell planned all the bombings in order to test Kara's strenghts. 

Kara is pissed off with him and declares war with him.
