Recap

Pat teaches Courtney, Yolanda, Beth, and Rick about the importance of teamwork, but training is halted when Courtney takes down all the practice dummies.

Courtney wants Pat to send her on a solo mission and ignores his warnings about following Principal Bowin at the homecoming game, which leads to a whole mess of trouble.

Elsewhere, viewers learn Cindy is the daughter of Dr. Ito/the Dragon King and has dreams of joining the Injustice Society of America, who are ramping up their search for the new Justice Society of America.

The Dragon King tells Cindy she isn't ready, which makes her angry.

This anger is compounded by Henry's refusal to attend the homecoming dance, prompting Cindy to ask Courtney if she wants to hang out instead.

Cindy then gets mad when Courtney ditches her to go to the dance with Cameron and demands to join the ISA now.

Seeing Stargirl on the cameras, Cindy decides to take matters into her own hands and the pair fight at the high school.

Courtney nearly dies at the hands of Cindy, but she is saved by the janitor who wields a medieval-looking sword.

As Cindy leaves, Pat stumbles into the gym and finds an injured Courtney.

Stargirl Season 1 Episode 7 Quotes

Courtney: Why is Cindy Burman so mean?
Yolanda: She’s always been like that.
Beth: No, I remember in elementary school she was a lot nicer. Then her mom died and her dad got remarried – twice actually – and then overnight, she became the scariest kid in the fourth grade.

Pat: It’s more like a driver’s ed class, you know?
Courtney: Well, less of a class and more of a hands-on experience, right? Because the only way to learn how to drive is to just do it.
Pat: Actually you’re not right because you’re not just going to jump behind the wheel of an automobile without learning a few fundamental rules. That’s a good way to get yourself and everyone you love killed.
Mike: Geez dad.
