After two dead bodies wash up on shore, Miami P.D. hire a new pathologist, Mitchell 'Mitchie' Mendelson to solve the crime.

According to Capt. Hornstock, due to recent budget cuts, the police department can no longer afford Rosewood's pricey services, so they went with a cheaper option.

Mitchie is ecstatic to be working in the land of one of Miami's best pathologist. Rosewood however feels betrayed and doesn't want to stop working with Villa. 

Both Mitchie and Rosie compete to see who can solve the two murders correctly. When Mitchie ultimately fails, Rosie assures Mitchie that he did not lose. Instead, Rosie offered Mitchie at job to work alongside him at Magic City Lab.

TMI feels like the third wheel when it comes to hanging out with Cassie and Pippy. After a much needed talk with Rosie, TMI gets the confidence to approach Cassie to discuss how she feels about her friendship with Pippy.

After talking with TMI, Cassie finally reveals to Pippy her true feelings about why she's still trying rekindle their friendship.

Daisey moves in with Villa and things get tricky when Daisey stays out all night. Daisey has a new man in her life who has a close relationship with Villa.
