Addison treats Kayla, a surrogate carrying triplets for a couple, Simon and Angie. If Addison doesn’t reduce the pregnancy to one baby, Kayla could die.

Simon and Angie have been trying to have a baby for years, so they’re not willing to sign off on Addison’s diagnosis. They get a second opinion from ...

Sam's new girlfriend Vanessa!

Vanessa suggests an option that would allow her to deliver three healthy babies, which happens to entail Sam operating on Kayla to remove a blood clot.

Angie and Simon are all for it. Addison is vehemently against it. Kayla’s husband, Eddie, isn’t crazy about the idea either. But Kayla opts for the surgery.

Addison voices her objections as Sam operates, but Vanessa gets the last word, as the procedure is successful.

Meanwhile, Fife has done a trial for an ALS antibiotic. William wants to get human trials going ASAP. Naomi doesn’t want to rush it.

Fife suggests taking Naomi to dinner in an attempt to win her over ... smooth. William doesn’t mind. He wants this project up and running.

Pete suspects his reasons may be personal as opposed to scientific, which is obvious. But things take a new turn when William admits to Pete that he has ALS.

This has Pete wondering if he’s not pushing the project forward prematurely. At dinner, Fife does a summary of all the reasons they should do the ALS trial.

He wants to get the business part of the evening over as quickly as possible so he and Naomi can get on with the date. Naomi doesn’t seem to mind.

Cooper treats a young girl named Maggie, who has an imaginary friend. But there may be more to the story.

With Violet on vacation, Cooper asks Sheldon for a psych consult.

Things have been a little weird between these two ever since Cooper caught Sheldon naked on the couch with Charlotte. So when Sheldon suggests that Maggie may be schizophrenic, Cooper is skeptical.

He also tells Sheldon that Charlotte is just using him.

Maggie’s parents refuse to believe that there’s anything wrong with their daughter. Dad, Joe, is especially critical of Sheldon. Cooper’s also critical, but it has nothing to do with his analysis.

It’s all about Charlotte.

The two of them actually get into an incredibly awkward while rifling for food in the kitchen. Charlotte catches them rolling around on the floor.

The reason Maggie’s dad has been so reluctant to accept his analysis is because he’s scared. His sister was also schizophrenic and committed suicide.

He feels responsible for what’s happening to Maggie because the illness runs in his family. He doesn’t want anyone to take her away.

Sheldon and Cooper tell him that he can stay right by her side the entire time. Joe takes his daughter’s hand.

Addison is supposed to be in love with Sam and Pete is supposed to be in love with Violet. But Pete wonders if maybe they can be in love with each other, too.

This makes Addison very uncomfortable, especially when she sees Pete holding Lucas.

After Sheldon asks Charlotte if she slept with him to get revenge on Cooper, she slams the door in his face.

Addison and Sam are paged when Kayla develops another clot. Despite her best efforts, Kayla is only able to be kept alive through life support.

The babies are fine, but Kayla’s husband, Eddie, is devastated. He blames Angie, Simon and Vanessa for killing his wife. Addison was righ.

Pete tells Fife about William, so Fife suggests to Naomi that maybe they shouldn’t rush the trials. Naomi asks Fife to raise his chair. They’re close enough to kiss and they do.

Speaking of kissing, Addison kisses Pete.

There’s more kissing, when Sheldon shows up at Charlotte’s door again to apologize for his behavior.

Addison tells Naomi that she and Sam kissed. Naomi is livid. Addison asks Pete to tell her that everything is going to be okay.

Episode Number:

Addison and Pete suck. I feel nothing with these two. Put Addison with a new man. Pete And Violet belong together. They have that drawn factor between them in their scenes.

Will you please stop with the "Please don't tell me Addie and Sam are over..." it's obvious that they're not and that they're gonna get together.
Shonda wouldn't have made Nae know about them. Besides she wouldn't risk Addie and Nae's friendship over nothing. That said I wish they won't because I think he's the guy she has the less chemistry with.

Maddison- 5%
Paddison- 6%
Addisam- 89%
Shonda is not giving fans what they want. :O

It bothers me that they seem to be throwing away this beautiful lovestory they wrote for Addie and Sam this whole season for a lovestory between Addie and Pete that's only based on what Addison thinks is "the right choice" in her mind, but definitely not her heart. If they really let those two fall in love that would be the most unromantic and boring lovestory ever! Addison and Sam have SO much chemistry and Sam is the only one that actually gets her and her feelings. They have such a strong bond that just can't be denied! Please, don't throw that away!

I hope they will end this Addison/Sam nonsense soon. It's the most stupid storyline that happened on this show so far. Yay! for Pete and Addie trying to be together for good. They have to be the endgame. That's the only couple with real chemistry on the whole show.

Mark might bring trouble but addie has her own skelet in her closet as well they have known eachother since their teens and are familiar with eachother type of lives

anyone know what the song was playing in the background when naomi comes in and sees sam holding addison?

thats good that maggie is going to get the help she needs, im happy addison and pete are going try to be together, thats sad that naomi is mad at addison for kissing sam,

Sara, I really don't think a Mark Addison hookup is in the equation. He dumped her royally in the last crossover event. I'm rooting for Sam and Addison all the way!!!!!! I do think Mark Sloan would be great on Private Practice. He would stir up a lot of trouble and perhaps bring some conflict to Addison's current relationship. His area of expertise would fit in nicely in an .L.A. practice so it would be interesting. All that aside, I still want Sam and Addison. Naomi is selfish. She had some nerve calling shame on Addison for kissing Sam. She just kissed Fife and she's with William! She's a controlling hypocrite.

I don't want Addison/Sam to be over already. :(
I'm excited for the next episode!
