On this week's Person of Interest…

Sam Shaw and Michael Cole are two operatives that work for a secret government program called Intelligence that sends them social security numbers to stop bad things from happening.

Cole starts digging into where the numbers come from after they learn one of their targets  wasn't a bad guy.

A hit it put out on them. Cole is killed.

Shaw goes to meet with Cole's contact, but Root pretends to be her. She wants to know more information on their previous hit which is connected to where the Machine might be located.

Reese and Finch try to help Shaw but she refuses.

Shaw meets with one of the higher up officials, (who also happened to be in charge of the assassin, Hersh, sent to take out Reese, and whose secretary is really Root). She gives him back the info that Cole had discovered in order to protect the program, but kills Wilson her handler, for revenge for Cole.

Hersh injects Shaw in a plan to kill her.

Fusco, Carter, and Leon pick her up and revive her, taking Shaw to Finch and Reese.

She ignores their offer again, but this time takes Finch's number.
