The curse of Shattered Sight descends on Storybrooke throwing the entire town into chaos but there are a few who are immune: Elsa, Emma, Anne, Hook, and Mr. Gold.

Elsa and Emma track down the Snow Queen but can't hurt her because of the ribbons. Emma figures out they need the magic of hate to break them and gets Regina, now in full Evil Queen mode thanks to the spell, out of her vault. Regina breaks the ribbons but then goes after Snow White and Prince Charming next.

Anna and Kristoff end up back on the beach where they washed up and Anna finds her mother's bottle washed ashore. She runs back to Elsa and reads it. Turns out their mother always regretted putting Ingrid in the urn and asks her girls to let her out and restore the memories of the sisters to everyone in Arendelle. Finally feeling her sister's love, the Snow Queen breaks the curse but in order to do so, she must sacrifice herself to save them all. She tells Elsa, Emma, and Anna that she's happy to do so because she will once again be with her sisters.
