Is Ziva’s father seeking redemption or on a secret Mossad operation?

While the NCIS team investigates the link to a dead journalist and a Navy petty officer, Ziva is taken aback by the sudden emotional visit by her father, who she hasn't seen in more than two years. While Ziva questions the purpose of her father’s visit as the Director of Mossad, her father insists he is in the U.S. strictly to see his daughter for Shabbat dinner.

Michael Nouri reprises his role as Ziva's father, Mossad Director Eli David.

Episode Number:

Here's my take on how Ziva ends up at Tony's apartment. Someone tries to kill Ziva in her own apartment and she is forced or strongly encouraged to stay st Tony's place. I wonder if she ends up playing a the piano-- sad childhood melody. Any thoughts?

I couldn't understand why, at the end, the whole team (and no one else from NCIS) is converging at the hospital to "be there for Vance" instead of being with Ziva who has just lost her father. Come on, people. There are other NCIS teams (presumably) and if Gibb's team and Abby and Ducky are there, then surely at least the leader from other teams would be there. But far more likely, Gibbs would be there for Vance while the others would go to be with Ziva. I don't understand why Ducky and Palmer didn't get the body for autopsy, but even if some other agency (CIA?) would have jurisdiction, surely Ducky would be using his connections to stay infromed and help Ziva out. Then DiNozzo and McGee and Abby would have gone to Ziva, to keep her company. That is in the real world. In TV Land, everyone congregates around the hospital where the boss is and leaves Ziva alone.

Just saw some pics for "Shiva"- Vance family and team (didn't see Ziva) at funeral of Jackie; Vance with his children. Ziva and Gibbs at Tony's apartment! Tony and Ziva in a Synagogue (where he asks "What do you want? ANS: Revenge) since her hair is pretty messed up); Ducky and Gibbs in autopsy; and Greg Germann. According to the cast list for "Shiva", the shooter's name was Roland Ames. The character of Gavriela Adel is an Israeli informant for the CIA, so CIA gets involved, at least thru her.

I am always able to anticipate the ending when it is a really good episode. I thought it was odd to bring in Ziva's father and Vance's wife, both of which we haven't seen in quite some time. It was the same feeling I had when Ducky wanted Gibbs to be his executor to his will in the event of his death. Next thing you know Ducky's fallin' to a heart attack. I had the same weird feeling about vance's wife and ziva's dad.... like they were both gonna be taken out in this episode. The storylines for those two characters in this episode were a little off beat and their moods in general had some foreshadowing of the upcoming tragic ending to these two characters. It is, by far, the best episode I have seen all of season 10. Finally, getting back to good storylines!!!

Give it a rest, if you don't like any of the characters on NCIS, go watch soap operas or crud like Good Wife! As for the rest of us, Shalom was a moving and tragic story-just when you have hopes Eli is there purely for Ziva-he gets himself and Mrs. Vance killed! The way the whole team shows to support Vance and Gibbs's face...haunting! I have hopes for how this works out by the preview of next week's show-and as for the Ziva-haters-get over it! She is a rich character with a surrogate father in Gibbs, and loved by both Ducky and Abby. As for Tony's relationship with her, it remains to be seen what happens in the weeks and years ahead, and despite the naysayers, hopefully that's what we fans get, another couple of seasons of the best show on TV. I can hardly wait until next week.

They left her alone. I wished that someone would have been seen standing by the door to show support. And we all know who it should have been.

Well, the review is up, so no spoiler relief for the West Coast I guess. From my earlier posts, I stated my belief that both Eli and Jackie would die, although I didn't guess how or where until I saw the Shabbat dinner photo.

What do you mean by 'why left alone?', SIMPLE? I think I know what you are speaking about but not 100% sure.

Why left alone?

I won't spoil either but omg. bad ending indeed. But amazingly poewerful. If you want to 'rant' gatorgal, PM me on here.
