Nashville Details

Nashville focuses on one veteran country music star and the upstart looking to upstage her. It stars Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes and Hayden Panettiere as Juliette Barnes, the starring roles. The series has taken the characters through some incredibly topsy turvy situations. While it is not a soap opera, there are operatic elements at hand, including more than one case of love triangles and quadrangles.

Other cast includes:

  • Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor
  • Eric Close as Teddy Conrad
  • Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne
  • Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley
  • Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott
  • Lennon and Maisey Stella as Maddie and Daphne Conrad (real sisters, playing sisters!)
  • Chris Carmack as Will Lexington
  • Oliver Hudson as Jeff Fordham
  • Will Chase as Luke Wheeler
  • Judith Hoag as Tandy Hampton
  • Chaley Rose as Zoey Dalton

Throughout the series several of the younger stars have had their starts in music thanks to their relationships through The Bluebird Cafe and uncles and others. The series makes it feel as though Nashville is a small town with just another country singer around every corner. The characters make real like decisions through heartbreak and joy and that is one of the reasons the series is a success.
